Model Endpoints Cover Image

Over the past year, we’ve seen a rapidly growing number of our users building their own unique products with our Virtual Try On API. We've seen people build tools for content creation, immersive fashion experiences that get integrated directly into stores websites, plugins and integrations for platforms like Shopify, and so much more.

We've decided to directly enable our talented developer audience to create more with FASHN, and are releasing 3 new endpoints: Model Create, Model Variation, and Model Swap.

Why an API Matters

FASHN Studio is designed for a seamless, creative experience, making it perfect for artists, designers, and brands who need hands-on control.

For our developers, these features were blocked behind our Studio App, preventing anyone from building anything of their own with our technology. Our technology is no longer a closed box and can be woven directly into your own apps and services.

With our latest launch, we're serving you - the builder, the developer, the entrepreneur who builds off our foundation to create something new.

Our New Endpoints

We're excited to release our first major set of API endpoints outside of our core Virtual Try-On technology. This is a big deal for us. While Virtual Try-On is the technology our company was built on, these new endpoints for Model Create, Variation, and Swap mark the start of something new.

Model Create

Descriptive Image

Model Create is your starting point for generating any new fashion model image from scratch. Instead of simple text-to-image, it provides a flexible system for precise control. You can guide the creation process with a text prompt describing the model, use a reference image to control the final pose or silhouette, or call a Consistent Model LoRA you've already trained to generate new, on-brand shots.

Model Variation

Descriptive Image

Model Variation serves as your creative "re-roll" engine. When you have an image that’s close but not quite right, this endpoint can generate a new version with either "subtle" or "strong" changes. It’s a tool built for creative exploration, meaning it will change the model, clothing, and other elements to give you a fresh take on an initial concept, perfect for when you need to brainstorm new ideas quickly.

Model Swap

Descriptive Image

Model Swap is a comprehensive tool that replaces the entire fashion model in a target image with a new one you specify. It’s far more than a simple face swap. You can either prompt a completely new person into an existing photo or use a Consistent Model LoRA to place your brand’s signature model into any campaign shot or outfit, rescuing otherwise unusable photos and saving countless hours on reshoots.

Get Started in 60 Seconds (No, Really)

The best way to understand an API is to use it. We've updated our open-source Chrome extension to make experimenting as frictionless as possible. First, you'll need to create an API key in your FASHN account. Then, you can setup the FASHN Tryon Chrome Extension locally by following the README and pluging your key into the settings once you have it running. You can start making calls immediately to see the results in real-time.

In the near future, we'll also be releasing an SDK to make working with these endpoints even easier.

How We Started, How Its Going

When we first started, our focus was singular: to build the world's best Virtual Try-On API (VTON). We achieved that, creating and offering the fastest and most accurate VTON API. Today marks a new chapter. By releasing these three new endpoints for model creation, variation, and swapping, we are officially expanding beyond our original foundation. We did this because we saw what you were trying to build and recognized the need for access to more of our creative stack. This is our first step in giving developers the foundational tools to build the next generation of fashion technology. The power that is behind our Studio's UI is now in your hands.
