FASHN App and API Plans Are Merging: What Changes and When
Your plan will work in the app and the API. Credits cost the same everywhere (a few app settings cost 1 more), app top-ups drop to the API price, and larger monthly allowances replace daily credits.

This week, your FASHN credits go further. App top-ups drop to $0.075 per credit, down from $0.10, the same price as API credits.
It's the first step in bringing the FASHN app and API together into one platform, with one credit that works in the app, in the API and with your own AI agents. Over the next two months, that brings you:
- Bigger monthly allowances instead of daily credits. Daily credits end, and in their place monthly credits grow by 25% on Basic and 50% on Pro and Agency. The most you can roll over grows with them.
- The same credit costs in the app and the API, and every direct API call costs the same or less.
- Credits that work everywhere. Your plan credits and top-ups work in the app and the API, and every plan owner can create API keys.
Basic, Pro and Agency keep their prices and renewal dates, and every change happens automatically.

App top-ups drop to $0.075 per credit, down from $0.10. That is the same price as API credits.

Bigger monthly allowances and rollover limits
Daily credits reward working a little every day. With bulk generation and automation, a whole project can run in a single day, so daily credits become part of a larger monthly allowance.
On the switch day, every subscriber receives a full month of the new allowance, wherever they are in their billing cycle. If you renewed yesterday or renew tomorrow, you still get a full month. Your next renewal then adds the next month as usual.

- Basic, Pro and Agency keep their prices and renewal dates.
- Unused monthly credits still roll over, up to three months' worth, so your rollover limit grows with your allowance. Top-up credits are separate and don't count toward that limit.
- The switch happens right after the new credit costs start, for monthly and annual plans, on the web and on mobile.
The same credit costs in the app and the API
Every tool now costs the same number of credits wherever you use it. In the Agent, the app moves to the costs the Agent API already uses, so a few settings cost 1 more credit. For direct generation, the API moves to the Studio's costs, so every direct API call costs the same or less.

Week of Jan 4, 2027: your credits work in the app and the API
- Your monthly plan credits work through the API, so you can run your FASHN subscription from code or from your own AI agent.
- Every plan owner can create API keys.
- Every credit you buy works in the app and the API, whether it's an app top-up or an API credit.
- API users with a plan can work as a team. Invite teammates to your organization and collaborate with them, as app teams do today.
- Your plan sets your limit on simultaneous generations, in the app and the API.

Where this is going
The line between developer use and everyday use of FASHN is disappearing. Developers call the API from their code, and more and more people do the same kind of work through an AI assistant, such as Claude Code or Codex, without writing any code at all.
We are building for that. Bulk generation is coming to the app, the Agent will take on complex automations for long-running tasks, and you will be able to run workflows with your own agents on your FASHN subscription. A credit that works in the app, in the API and with agents is what ties it together: whichever way you work, you can create content at scale.

Do I need to do anything?
No. Every change happens automatically, and we will notify you as each one takes effect.
The one exception: if you use the API without a plan, choose the Basic plan or above before you buy more credits from the week of Jan 4, 2027.
I'm an app user. Will I spend more or less?
For about 9 in 10 of you, the same or less. We replayed every subscriber's last 30 days of usage under the new plans and costs to check.
Pro and Agency subscribers used only about 15% of their daily credits, which never rolled over. The bigger monthly allowance replaces them and does roll over, up to three months' worth, so quiet months build up credits for your next big project.
The other 1 in 10 may spend more, usually because they used most of their daily credits or because the new costs add up for their mix of settings (see the cost tables). If that's you, we're sorry. We designed one set of credit costs to support every way of working, from hands-on work in the app to automated bulk runs through the API and agents.
For bulk work beyond your allowance, top-ups now cost $0.075 per credit, down from $0.10.
I'm an API user. Will I spend more or less?
Less. Every direct API call costs the same or fewer credits, and many cost half or less. On recent API usage, that adds up to about a third fewer credits.
The savings beat even our deepest tier discount. On Tier III, a Balanced 2K image costs $0.146 today. After the change, it costs $0.075, about 49% less. See the cost tables.
