Images can degrade when you edit the same result many times in a row. Each edit can add small distortions that build up. After many edits, the whole image starts to look blotchy and mottled. We know this is an issue for long edit sessions, and we keep working on it.
The FASHN Agent now handles repeated edits differently. In our tests, the same number of edits causes about half as much degradation as before, so a session can run for about twice as many edits before it reaches the same loss of quality.
- No change to how you work: The Agent applies this automatically when it edits an image it made earlier, in an app conversation or within one API request. Edits of photos you upload work the same as before.
- Same credits: Edits cost the same as before.
- Repair is still available: When an image starts to look degraded, ask the Agent to restore detail, as described in Preserve and Repair Image Quality.
