FASHNAI
Pricing Update for Developer API
Announcing upcoming pricing changes to our developer API effective March 1st, 2025.
Written by FASHN Team | February 1, 2025

Introduction
We wanted to share this important announcement regarding upcoming changes to our API pricing and the reasons behind them.
Our Journey So Far
When we launched our virtual try-on API in September 2024, we started with a smaller model that generated thumbnail-sized (256×384) images. At that time, the API was priced at $0.04 per image to cover basic hosting and operational costs while relying on cloud credits for training.
Since then, our service has evolved. We’re now running a much larger model capable of generating higher-resolution (576×864) images, and we're proud to have many applications in production that are using FASHN and showcasing our virtual try-on capabilities across the globe.
While this is a huge milestone, we’re also using more powerful hardware to keep inference times as low as possible, and we can no longer rely on cloud credits to offset training costs.
That being said, as a bootstrapped company, we can’t continue offering our services at $0.04 per image.
Key Changes (Effective March 1st, 2025)
Price Per Image Update:
The new price will be $0.075 per image.
num_samples Parameter Pricing Adjustment:
Credits will scale with the number of images generated (e.g. 4 num_samples = 4 credits).
Credit Expiry Policy:
All purchased credits will expire 365 days from the date of purchase.
Credits purchased before March 1st, 2025, will have their expiry set to March 1st, 2026.
Volume-Based Discounts:
The $0.075 per image price serves as our on-demand rate, offering a low entry point with no long-term commitment. However, for high-volume users and long-term commitments, we will provide significant discounts, potentially lowering the price below $0.04 per image.
More details on volume-based pricing options will be shared soon.
To give our existing customers time to prepare, we will maintain the current $0.04 per image rate throughout February. If you anticipate higher usage, you can purchase bulk credits at the current rate before prices increase.
On the technical side, the pricing update coincides with the rollout of our v1.5 architecture, which will deliver significant improvements in image quality—particularly for consumer virtual fitting room applications.
Looking Ahead
We plan to further enhance resolution to 768×1152 (1-megapixel outputs), and we’re optimistic that future hardware innovations and internal optimizations will help us maintain stable pricing without additional changes.
We sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to continuing our partnership.
Thank you for building with FASHN.
