[App] Introducing Packshot, Plus FASHN Backgrounds in Edit
Two app updates focused on clean catalog imagery and easier background changes.
Introducing Packshot
- New Studio tool that turns product or on-model photos into clean, e-commerce-ready packshots.
- Accepts a wide range of source styles, including clean product, on-hanger, on-mannequin, amateur on-floor, and on-model photos. When the source is on-model, the person is automatically removed and only the garment is rendered.
- Choose a presentation style (ghost mannequin, flat-lay, on-hanger, floating, and more) via the prompt, or pick a curated look from the new FASHN Packshot References quick-pick gallery in the Image Context popover.
- Wrinkles, twisted collars, and asymmetric drape are cleaned up automatically.
FASHN Backgrounds in Edit
- Edit's Image Context popover now shows the same FASHN Backgrounds quick-pick strip available in Product to Model.
- Pick a curated background as a visual reference to drive a scene or background change without describing every detail in the prompt.
[App] Reuse Inputs from Gallery
You can now reuse the inputs from any previous generation directly from the Gallery. Click on a result to open it, then click the Reuse Inputs button to load all the original settings into the Studio and start a new generation with the same configuration.
[App] Credits Usage Tracking
You can now track how your credits are being used across different tools.
- Credit Usage page: A new Credit Usage page is available from your Billing settings. See a breakdown of credits used per tool, filter by date range, and view your total usage at a glance. Note: usage data is being collected starting today, so it won't include previously generated images.
- API request details: You can now see credits used for each generation directly in the request details.
[App] Improved Image Viewer
The full-screen image viewer in the Gallery has been upgraded for a faster, more flexible experience.
- Faster loading: The viewer now shows a preview instantly while the full-resolution version loads in the background, so you can browse your results without waiting.
- Zoom and inspect: Right-click any image in the viewer to access options like downloading or opening the full-resolution original.
[API] API Plan Downgrade
You can now downgrade your API plan directly from the API Billing page.
- Downgrade with flexibility: Switch to a lower API plan whenever you need to. The change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle, so you keep full access to your current plan until then.
- Upgrade or downgrade in one place: The API Billing page now shows all available plans with clear options to upgrade or downgrade, making it easy to adjust your plan as your needs change.
[App] Tab Notifications
You can now get notified when a generation finishes while you're on another tab.
- Tab Title Flashing: The browser tab title flashes to let you know when your result is ready or if something went wrong.
- Sound Alerts: A sound notification plays so you never miss a completed generation.
[App] Post-Process Your Results
You can now edit generated images directly in the Studio before saving or downloading.
- Built-in Editor: Crop, apply filters, fine-tune colors, add annotations, stickers, frames, and more.
- Fill Tool: For images with transparent backgrounds, replace the transparent area with a solid color.
[App & API] FASHN Backgrounds Gallery + Combine Background Reference with Image Prompt
Two related updates that make Product to Model more flexible.
FASHN Backgrounds Gallery (App)
- New curated library of ready-to-use backgrounds available directly from the Background Reference picker in the Studio.
- Available on all paid plans, alongside the existing FASHN Models and FASHN Faces galleries.
Combine Background Reference with Image Prompt (App & API)
- You can now use a Background Reference together with an Image Prompt in Product to Model.
- When used together, Image Prompt drives the model appearance, pose, and styling, while Background Reference anchors the scene and environment.
[App] FASHN AI Is Now Available on iOS
FASHN AI is now available on iOS. All tools are accessible through a chat-based interface where you describe what you need and the assistant runs the appropriate workflow.
- Supported tools: Virtual try-on, product-to-model, model swap, model creation, image editing, background removal, and video generation.
- Camera input: Upload product photos directly from your camera or photo library into the chat.
- Account sync: Your existing FASHN account, credits, Gallery, and saved Collections work across both iOS and web.
[App & API] Image to Video Now Supports an End Frame Reference
Image to Video now accepts an optional second reference image that anchors the final frame, so the clip transitions from the start image toward the end image over its duration.
It gives you control over transitions where text prompts fall short: a particular camera path, a specific final pose, or an exact scene composition.
A common fashion example: rotating a model to show the back of a garment. Text prompts fail because the video model can't infer the back from the front. With a back-view image as the end frame, the rotation renders the real garment instead of an invented one.
In the App
Available on Pro and higher plans in Studio. Setting an end frame automatically locks resolution to 1080p, the only resolution that supports this input.
For API Users
The image-to-video endpoint accepts a new optional end_image parameter (URL or base64). It must be paired with resolution: "1080p"; other resolutions are rejected with a validation error.
