The FASHN API is a fashion AI API for developers. It adds virtual try-on, on-model product photos, AI fashion models, model swap, image editing, background removal, and image-to-video to any website or app through one REST API, with official TypeScript and Python SDKs. ### Which endpoints does the FASHN API offer? The FASHN API includes Try-On Max and Try-On v1.6 for virtual try-on, Product to Model, Model Create, Face to Model, Model Swap, Edit, Reframe, Background Remove, and Image to Video. Every endpoint uses the same request format, so you can add a new capability by changing the model name. ### How much does the virtual try-on API cost? Credits cost $0.075 each, with a minimum purchase of $7.50. Try-On v1.6 uses 1 credit per image, and Try-On Max uses 1 to 5 credits depending on mode and resolution. Monthly plans lower the price per credit by up to 35%, and you're only charged for successful results. ### Is there a free trial? The FASHN API doesn't include free credits. You can start with a $7.50 purchase of 100 credits, enough to test every endpoint, and failed requests are never charged. ### What's the difference between Try-On Max and Try-On v1.6? Try-On Max is the most capable FASHN try-on model. It handles clothing, shoes, bags, hats, and jewelry at up to 4K and follows text instructions like tucking in a shirt. Try-On v1.6 is faster and lighter, made for real-time experiences with tops, bottoms, and one-pieces, at 1 credit per image. ### How does the virtual try-on API work? Send a photo of a person and a photo of a product to the run endpoint with the try-on model name. The product can be a flat-lay, a ghost mannequin shot, or an on-model photo. The API returns an image of the person wearing the product, which you get by polling the status endpoint or through a webhook. ### How fast is the API? Try-On v1.6 returns results in about 5 to 17 seconds depending on the mode. Try-On Max and the other image endpoints take about 10 seconds in fast mode at 1K and up to about 55 seconds in quality mode at 4K. Background Remove takes 1 to 3 seconds. ### Can I generate on-model product photos with the API? Yes. The Product to Model endpoint turns a flat-lay, ghost mannequin, or product-only photo into an image of a model wearing it. You can guide the result with a prompt, a background reference, or a face reference to keep the same model across your catalog. ### Can I create AI fashion models with the API? Yes. The Model Create endpoint generates a fashion model from a text prompt or a reference image, and the Face to Model endpoint turns a face or selfie into an upper-body avatar that's ready for try-on.
